Wanda Mae Shepherd

Wanda Mae Edwards Shepherd, age 84 of Fox Creek, passed away Thursday, November 12th, 2020 at home. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Zeed Edwards. She was the wife of Ralph Eugene Shepherd who passed away in 2003. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Pete Edwards and sister, Peggy Edwards Owens.

Wanda spent her life as a homemaker.

Surviving are children: Glenda Stamey and husband Bill of Burnsville, David Shepherd and wife Ginger of Burnsville, David Whitson and wife Brittany of Mars Hill and Rebecca Connelly of Asheville. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 15th at Chandler Cemetery in Ivy Gap at 2 p.m. Reverend Bobby Silvers will officiate.
