Verlyn A. (Adkins) Perkins

Verlyn A. Perkins, age 83 of Asheville, passed away Sunday, August 1st, 2021 at Western North Carolina Baptist Home. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Blanche Miller Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Perkins, in 2001.

Verlyn worked as a registered nurse at the Burnsville Hospital.

She is survived by her son, David Perkins (Tricia) of Asheville; daughters: Susan Perkins and Lisa Gillen (David).

Services will be held Thursday, August 5th in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior to service time. Reverend Tommy James will officiate.
