Vann Emmerson Wilson

Vann Emmerson Wilson, age 75 of Spruce Pine, NC, Greenville, TN and Leander, TX, passed away on Saturday, May 1st, 2021 due to natural causes. He is preceded in death by his father Harry L. Wilson and mother Zella F. Wilson.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Wilson of Leander, Texas; and his grandson Daniel Wilson of Austin, Texas.

Vann was born on August 29th, 1945 in the Canal Zone, Panama during his father’s WW2 service. He graduated from Harris High School in 1963 before earning his bachelor’s degree in 1966 from Western Carolina College. Vann was a devout Christian, an intelligent and successful businessman, and a loving father and grandfather. His ability to light up a room with his unwavering positivity, quick wit, or just a kind word, were attributes that he carried with him throughout his life.

 Services will be held at Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery at 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 10th, 2021.
