Tristan "TJ" Jeter Henson

Tristan “TJ” Jeter Henson, age 25 of Burnsville, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023. A native of Yancey County, he was the son of Tommie Lee Holloway and Heather McMahan Henson, and the proud father of sweet Ezlynn Reign Henson.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving parents, his girlfriend LeeAnn Peterson and their beautiful daughter, Ezlynn; as well as his maternal grandparents, Dennis and Betty McMahan; brother, Brody Joseph Henson; uncle, Jeremiah McMahan; and his best friends, Trent McPeters, Shane Webber, Trevor Woods, and many others.

TJ was a bright light in this world. He was fiercely loyal and was a friend to all. TJ loved to fish and be outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his loved ones. His smile was contagious, and he gave that smile to his daughter. His light will shine on through her. TJ was loved by all and will truly be missed.

A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Clay Mount Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will accept friends and loved ones one hour prior to the service for visitation in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home in Burnsville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home to assist the family and help with funeral expenses.
