On the afternoon of August 1st, 2022, Myron and Sheila Woody, Chelsey Woody Miller, and Caleb Woody left this world of trouble and sorrow; and entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior in whom they faithfully served. They were residents of the Green Mountain community and were faithful members of Blue Rock Baptist Church.
Caleb Woody, age 24 of Green Mountain, went home to be with the lord on August 1st, 2022, at his home. He was preceded in death his paternal grandparents, Franklin and Betty (Juanita) Alley Woody and maternal grandmother, Florence Fox McCurry; great uncles: Floyd Fox, Sylvest Fox and Paul Fox; great aunts: Evaleen Black, Ethal Evans, and Ruth Wilson.
Devoted son of Myron and Sheila Woody, Caleb loved the Lord. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting and hiking. Caleb was always willing to help others and lend a hand with outdoor projects. He was also a loving and dedicated brother to his older sister, Chelsey.
Left to cherish his memory is his grandfather, Travis McCurry; aunts: Kathy (Jason) Wheeler, Debbie (Russell) Greer; uncles: Mike (Belinda) Woody of Green Mountain, and Joey (Beverly) Woody; great aunts: Annette Bailey, Mattie (Gene) Berry, and Grace Dellinger; great uncles: Carl (Ruby) Fox, and Edison (Flossie) Fox; cousins: Sabrina (Dalton) Cooper, Linda (Josh) Hudgins, Jessica (Michael) Taylor, Caden Wheeler, and William (Lisa) Woody; and brother in law, Justin Miller.
Services for the Woody family will be held on August 6th, 2022, at Blue Rock Baptist Church in Burnsville, NC. Rev. Kenneth Forbes will be officiating. The family will accept friends and loved ones from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 for visitation. Burial will follow the service in the cemetery of Blue Rock Baptist Church. The pallbearers will be as follows: Mike Woody, Joey Woody, Jason Wheeler, Caden Wheeler, Boyd Hopson, Dalton Cooper, J.D. Clubb, Jeff Miller, Bryan Cooper, Chris Jarrett, Steven Gouge, and Keith McCurry.
