Obituary
Rachel Howell McKinney, age 70 of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2023. She was born on July 1, 1952, to the late Julius and Dorothy Ray Howell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Barry McKinney; brothers: J.R. Howell and Jerry Howell; and sister, Nancy Randolph.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Glenna Woodard (Jack) of Bigstone Gap, VA; brother, James Madison Howell (Karen) of Asheville, NC; sister-in-law, Kim Huskins; stepdaughter, Anna Gilbert (Brian) of Maine; father and mother-in-law, William E. McKinney (Helen) of Burnsville; step-grandson, Hunter McKinney; and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Faith Fellowship Church in Burnsville, NC. The family will receive friends and loved ones at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Reverend David Gillispie will be officiating.
