Mary (McKinney) Dale

Mary McKinney Dale, age 80 of Burnsville, passed away Monday, August 16th, 2021. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Stella McCurry McKinney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Dale; brothers: Jack McKinney, Wesley McKinney and wife, Pauline, James McKinney and wife, Lois, and Wayne McKinney.

She worked for many years as a spinner at Hickory Springs.

She is survived by her daughters: Cathy Davenport and husband Clay, and Barbara Pate; brothers: Sam McKinney and wife, Donna, Royce McKinney and wife, Violet, Eugene McKinney and wife, Gladys; sister, Helen Murphy; two grandchildren, Jacob Shane Davenport and wife, Emily, and Bo Pate; one great-grandchild, Lucy Pearl Davenport.

Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
