Mabel Esther (Killman) Campbell

Mabel Esther Campbell, age 94, of Burnsville, passed away at Solace Center in Asheville, NC on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022. Mabel was the daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret DeHaven Killman. Mabel was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Cooper; brothers: Sam, Stanley, Leroy, and Drummond Killman; sisters: Mary Rich and Elsie Killman; and brother-in-law, Charles Campbell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 76 years, James Ray Campbell, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Crump (Eddie); grandson, Bryan Crump; and granddaughter, Deloris Sewell.

Mabel was a devoted Christian, a loving mother and wife, and a prayer warrior. She was “mama” to all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15th, 2022 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 16th, 2022 at Hillcrest Gardens in Mt. Holly, NC. Reverend Fred Killman will officiate.
