Louise Silver Eckstorm-Wallace went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October, 5th 2020. A native of Yancey County, she was born April 7th, 1918 to the late Rass and Mollie Ray Silver. She was preceded in death by Paul Eckstorm and Raymond Wallace, her beloved husbands, a sister, Jewel Ledford and a nephew, Richard Ledford.
She is survived by a niece, Donna Anthony and two great nieces and nephews.
Louise was saved and baptized at Bolens Creek Baptist Church, when she was thirteen years old. An active member of the church, where she was the oldest known member. She graduated in 1936 from Burnsville High School. She worked many years in the office of the local Ford dealership until her retirement.
Service will be held in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7th. Dr. Chris Morgan will be officiating. Burial will follow at Banks Cemetery on Bolens Creek in Burnsville. Memorials may be made to Wesley Hensley at 592 Roland Branch Road, Burnsville NC 28714.
Masks will be mandatory for the service.
