Lt. Colonel Lester R. Heavner, Jr. (USAF Retired), age 79 of Burnsville, passed away Monday, September 7th, 2020 at Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care in Cumming, GA after a short and courageous battle with a brain tumor.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 16th, 2020 in the Robertson Cemetery on West Burnsville Church Road.
In lieu of flowers, Lester’s request was for memorial donations to be made to West Burnsville Baptist Church, Youth Programs, P.O. Box 38, Burnsville, NC 28714.
