Obituary

Lana “Kay” Farris, age 77, of Little Switzerland, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, February 21st, 2022 at Care Partners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville, NC. A native of Cherryville, she was the daughter of the late Archie Littlejohn and Onie Bridges. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Reverend Jim Littlejohn.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Yates Farris; sons: Yates Farris III (Lynn) of Charlotte, and Brad Farris (Roxane) of Charlotte; two brothers: Don Littlejohn of Cherryville, NC and Randy Littlejohn of Shelby, NC; nieces: Lindsey Walker of Forest City, Joy Atkinson of Chesapeake, VA, and Shanna Collins; and three grandchildren: Carmen Farris, Amanda Farris, and Lana Abigail Farris; nephews: Dr. Jim Littlejohn of Kingsport, TN, and Jon Littlejohn of Collinwood, TN.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Northlake Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Huntersville, NC. Reverend Merritt Taylor will officiate.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Shoal Creek Baptist Church at PO Box 665 Burnsville, NC 28714 and Samaritans Purse at 801 Bamboo Road, Boone, NC.
