Joyce Willean (Fox) Gravitt

Joyce Fox Gravitt, born on May 22, 1935, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Smoky Ridge Health and Rehab in Burnsville, NC. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Chloe Smith Fox. She was also preceded in death by her son, Bryan Gravitt; daughter, Karen Ludford; and brothers: Robert Fox, Danny Fox, Ivan Fox, and Gary Fox.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Dean Brown; son, Bruce Gravitt; daughter, Kimberly Passmore; grandchildren: Matthew Borzymowski, Allison Riot, Dale Edwards, Melissa Orwig, Garth Gravitt; great-grandchildren: Taylor Edwards, Brayden Edwards, Evan Riot, Gunner Orwig, and Gage Orwig.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Reverend Jim Bo Seaton will be officiating. The family will accept friends and loved ones prior to the service at 1:30 p.m. and also following the memorial service for visitation.
