Johnny Leland Hall

Johnny L. Hall, 81, of the Blue Rock community, went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 23, 2019 at Smoky Ridge Health & Rehabilitation.  A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Carey Edward and Addie Lee Robinson Hall.  He was also preceded in death by a sister:  Vera Lee Hall; and brothers:  Claude, Carey E. Hall, Jr., and David Hall.  Johnny was a longtime friend and honorary deputy of the Yancey County Sheriff’s Department.

Surviving are a sister:  Betty Jean Hall of Burnsville; nieces:  Deborah Herrera and husband, Bobby, of Waller, TX, and  Dawn Y. McCain and husband, Robert, of Pasadena, TX; great nephews:  Shane Herrera and wife, Linda, of Houston, and Austin McCain of Clear Lake, TX; great nieces:  Cherice Hemmes and husband, Bryan, of Houston, Rebekah Williang and husband Johnathan of San Francisco, CA and Micakah Hall of Huffman, TX; and 2 great-great nephews:  Nicoli Herrera and Rhett Hemmes of Houston.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Thursday, December 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.  Rev. Rick Woody will officiate.  Burial will be in the Robinson Family Cemetery on Blue Rock Road.
