Joe Clarence Morrow

Joe Clarence (J.C.) Morrow, age 69, of Burnsville, went home to be with the Lord on January 11th, 2022 at his home. A native of Yancey County, J.C graduated from Cane River High School in 1971. He worked for Western Waterproofing Company and as a bus driver at Bald Creek School until he retired in 2013. He loved to hunt and fish. He also loved his family and was loved by them in return.

J.C was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Delia Silvers Morrow and a nephew, Isaac Guinn.

Surviving is his brother, Theodore Morrow and wife Janet of Unicoi, TN; sisters: Deanna Robinson and husband Dean, Shirley Guinn and husband Martin, all of Jacks Creek, Donna Adkins and husband Doyle of Bee Log, and Sarah Morrow of the home. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 14th at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends and loved ones an hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in the Morrow Family Cemetery. Reverend Joe Bennett will be officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home to assist the family and help with funeral expenses.
