Jerry McCurry Obituary

Jerry McCurry, age 67, passed away Saturday, December 12th, 2020. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Alvin and Dorothy Hensley McCurry.

He was a longtime operator and owner in the lumber industry.

Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Darlene Wilson McCurry; son, Jerry Shawn McCurry; daughters, Jerilynn McCurry Beckner and husband Gary and Heather Hall and husband Robert; sisters, Lib (Elizabeth) Wyatt, Carolyn Wilson and Frida Ann Robinson; brothers, Junior McCurry and Stuart McCurry; granddaughters, Jessica and Sarah Hall and also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19th at 1 p.m. in the Academy Hill Cemetery located in Burnsville. Pastor Logan Buchanan will officiate.

Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home is respectfully serving the McCurry family.
