James Bailey Obituary

James Michael Bailey, 53, of Roland Branch, Burnsville, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at his home.  A native of Yancey County, he was a son of Cora Lee Fox Bailey of Burnsville and the late James Bailey.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed working on cars.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two sisters: Rebecca Shepherd of Burnsville and Kristine Roberts of Waynesville; two brothers: William Fredrick Bailey of Montana and John D. Bailey of Burnsville; nephews: Stephen Dee Shepherd and wife Casey of Burnsville and Luke Bailey and wife Amber and great nephew Aiden all of Montana; nieces: Elizabeth Shepherd and Emily Hensley and husband A. J., all of Burnsville and Danielle Roberts of Waynesville; aunts: Barbara Hensley of Mars Hill, Kathleen Elkins and Patsy Hatfield of Burnsville; and uncles; Daniel Fox and wife Norma Lee of Green Mountain and Melvin Fox of Idaho.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P. M. Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.  Revs. Stacy Elkins and Bobby Silvers will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
