Herman Myron Woody

On the afternoon of August 1st, 2022, Myron and Sheila Woody, Chelsey Woody Miller, and Caleb Woody left this world of trouble and sorrow; and entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior in whom they faithfully served. They were residents of the Green Mountain community and were faithful members of Blue Rock Baptist Church.

Herman Myron Woody, age 57 of Green Mountain, went home to be with the lord on August 1st, 2022, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Betty (Juanita) Alley Woody.

Myron was a devoted parent who nurtured his children in the faith and taught them all about Jesus. He was not only a Godly example for his children, but for everyone that knew him. He worked for many years at Glen Raven where he did several jobs but working in maintenance was what he truly loved. Myron was also an excellent carpenter. He loved to work with his hands and build things.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers: Mike (Belinda) Woody of Green Mountain, and Joey (Beverly) Woody; sister: Debbie (Russell) Greer; brother and sister-in-law, Jason (Kathy) Wheeler; nieces: Linda (Josh) Hudgins, Jessica (Michael) Taylor, and Sabrina (Dalton) Cooper; nephews: William (Lisa) Woody and Caden Wheeler; and son in law, Justin Miller.

Services for the Woody family will be held on August 6th, 2022, at Blue Rock Baptist Church in Burnsville, NC. Reverend Kenneth Forbes will be officiating. The family will accept friends and loved ones from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 for visitation. Burial will follow the service in the cemetery of Blue Rock Baptist Church. The pallbearers will be as follows: Mike Woody, Joey Woody, Jason Wheeler, Caden Wheeler, Boyd Hopson, Dalton Cooper, J.D. Clubb, Jeff Miller, Bryan Cooper, Chris Jarrett, Steven Gouge, and Keith McCurry.
