Henry Bodford

Henry Bodford, age 83 of Bill Allen Branch, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 31st, 2021 at his home. He was a son of the late Will and Ethel Hughes Bodford. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene Bodford and sister, Dixie Lane.

Henry was an auto body repairman who took great pride in his work. After his retirement, he enjoyed restoring Ford F150 trucks. He attended Victory Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Hazel Cook Bodford; daughter, Cindy Thomas and husband Larry of Burnsville; son, Larry Bodford and wife Debbie of Burnsville; grandchildren: Ray Thomas, Kimberly Stewart, and Christopher and Creston Bodford; seven great-grandchildren and one due this month; nephews, Gary, David and Scot Lane; niece, Teresa Hensley; and sister-in-law, Mary Bodford of Burnsville.

Services will be held Tuesday, February 2nd in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Reverend Russell Hughes will officiate. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the services. Memorial donations may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice at 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
