Grover Honeycutt Jr., age 89 of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022. A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Grover and Julia Honeycutt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Jack Honeycutt, Jake Honeycutt, and Richard Honeycutt; sisters: Gladys Rauscher, Mamie Rollmen, Mary Woolums, and Beatrice Miller.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Mary Helen Honeycutt of Burnsville; daughter, Lisa Marie Honeycutt; sister, Genava Street; grandchildren: Josh Wentworth and Zach Wentworth; great-grandchild, Riley Jen Wentworth; caregivers, Janice McCoin and Joan Whitson; as well as a beloved family pet, Bisket; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Bennett Cemetery in Green Mountain on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022. Reverend Phillips will officiate.
