Frankie Ann (Parton) Shepherd

Frankie Ann Shepherd, a resident of Yancey County, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones on Monday, March 28, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Bonnie Parks. She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie Shepherd, and a son, James Ferguson.

She is survived by her sons: Jack Parton (Effie) of Canton, and Lester Parton of Canton; a daughter, Mary Jane McGaha; a brother, Jerry Carver (Helen); three grandchildren: Rebecca Hollified (Ray), Melissa Metcalf and Christopher Reid; eight grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 31st, 2022, at the Shepherd-Reid Cemetery.
