Fairy Fern (Robinson) Tipton

Fairy Robinson Tipton, 87, of Bald Creek, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at her home.  A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Bis and Georgia Ray Robinson.  She was also preceded in death by sisters:  Pansy, Lucy, Grace and Alice; and a brother: J. B.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years:  Donald Tipton; daughters:  Paula Tipton and Pat Robinson (Donnie) of the home; a sister:  Violet Verliner of Burnsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday, January 24, 2020, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.  Hospice Chaplain Joe Bennett will officiate.  Burial will be in the Burton Cemetery on Lickskillet Road.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
