Ethel Molly (Bailey) King

Ethel Bailey King, age 97 of Burnsville, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2023. She was born on December 3, 1925, to the late Raleigh and Ellar Randolph Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Arvil King; brothers: George Bailey, Anderson Bailey, and Buster Bailey; sisters: Dorothy Bailey, Fannie Styles, Catherine Bailey, and Mae Stiles.

Ethel was a lifelong member of Cane River Baptist church since age 12.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Helena Hill and husband, Keith of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; son, Leo King, and wife, Stephanie of Greenville, SC; sister, Winnie Metcalf of Mills River, NC; grandchildren: Andrea Hill (Marlin Register) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Ryan King of Asheville, NC, and Jeffrey King and wife, Rebecca of Greenville, SC; step-granddaughter, Renee Billadeau and husband, Mark; two great-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Cane River Baptist Church in Burnsville, NC. The family will receive friends and loved ones one hour prior to the service for visitation. Interment will follow the service in the cemetery of Cane River Baptist Church. Reverend Matt Mills and Reverend Marvin Clark will be officiating. The pallbearers will be as follows: Jerry Robinson, Jerry Metcalf, Donald Angel, Doug Angel, Donald Styles, and Steve Robinson.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Jana and Dedrick at Starling at Nocatee Assisted Living for the loving care they provided to Ethel in her last days.
