Eloise (Hensley) Davis

Eloise Davis, age 84 of Mars Hill, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in Burnsville. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Pansy Hensley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James Davis; a sister: Verna Lee Hensley; an infant son: Johnny Davis; and her beloved dog, Cha-Cha.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Carolyn Davis Long (David); sisters: Hazel Hensley and Judy Edwards; sister-in-laws: Grace Hensley and Grace Davis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She enjoyed gardening, hiking and loved animals. She was kind and loving and did everything she could for her family. Listening to gospel music was very special for her, The Primitive Quartet being her favorite. She loved the staff at Smoky Ridge Health and Rehabilitation and her roommate Frankie.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 10 a.m. in the Chandler Hensley Cemetery.
