Ella Presnell Obituary

Ella Dee Phillips Presnell, 77 of Burnsville, went home Tuesday, August 18th, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Ellis Doc and Eula Belle Rathbone Phillips; brothers: Lewis, Ellis and Arthur Phillips; and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Colberts Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Ella enjoyed painting and keeping her flower garden.

Surviving are 3 daughters: Karen Hudgins and husband, Curtis, Helen Lewis and husband, Jim and Linda Presnell, all of Burnsville; 3 grandchildren: Mark Hudgins and wife, Danielle, Julie Hudgins, and Jennifer Hudgins (Billy); 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gary Phillips of Burnsville.  

Due to Covid-19, Private Graveside Services will be held Saturday in the Autrey Cemetery at South Estatoe Baptist Church. Rev. Trent Honeycutt will officiate. Friends may come by the Funeral Home on Friday, August 21st, to view and sign the register book for the family during normal business hours.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Blue Ridge at 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
