Dorothy (Smith) Riddle

Dorothy Smith Riddle, age 85 of Burnsville, passed away Friday, October 8th, 2021 at Yancey House Assisted Living. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Bernice Smith. She was also preceded in death by sisters: Agnes Taylor and Ena Kate Riddle.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ben T. Riddle, of the home; son, John Riddle and wife, Sandra; two granddaughters: Victoria and Melanie Riddle; one great-granddaughter, Ella Riddle; sisters: Clara Mae Ogle and Ann Wilson.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 10th at Bolens Creek Baptist Church at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends and loved ones at the church an hour prior to service time. Dr. Chris Morgan will officiate. Burial will follow in the McCracken Cemetery in Burnsville.
