Dorothty Gouge Obituary

Dorothy Marie Barrier Gouge, age 95 of Burnsville, passed away Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 at The Yancey House. She was the daughter of the late Amos and Bertha Barrier. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry David Gouge; and two brothers: Clyde Barrier and Arlee Barrier.

Surviving is her son, John Gouge of Bristol, TN; brother, Deward Barrier of Jonas Ridge; and sister, Ruth Buchanan of Morganton.

Private Family Graveside Services will be held a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would like for memorial donations to be made to Yancey County Humane Society at 962 Cane River School Road, Burnsville, NC 28714.
