Donald Dwight McIntosh

Donald Dwight McIntosh, age 80 of Burnsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville, NC. A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Grady and Juanita Hensley McIntosh. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Yvonne McIntosh, brother, Jerry McIntosh, and sister-in-law, Ruby McIntosh.

Left to cherish his loving memory are his sons, Morris McIntosh (Regina) and Marvin McIntosh (Tamera); daughter, Sheila Baker (Randy); brothers: Eugene McIntosh (Vaughtie), Luther McIntosh, Larry McIntosh (Rebecca); sister, Venita McIntosh (Jackie); sister-in-law, Camilee McIntosh; grandchildren: Amanda Anglin (Bobby), April Buchanan (Erik), Andrew Baker (Courtney), Autumn Honeycutt (Josh) Brooke McCurry (Charlie), Tyler McIntosh (Laura), Collette Blankenship, and Cody McIntosh; as well as seventeen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home in Burnsville, NC. The family will receive friends and loved ones one hour prior to the service for visitation. Interment will follow the service at the McIntosh Cemetery in Burnsville, NC. Reverends Royce Ball and Cecil Hensley will be officiating.
