David Kent passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, June 21st, after a brie battle with glioblastoma. He was born in Walpole, Mass. on June 28th, 1941, but lived most of his life in Miami, FL., where he developed and taught the photo journalism program in the School of Communication at the University of Miami. He retired to Burnsville in 1998.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Diane, a sister, Martha from Miami, a daughter, Erin and husband Michael and sons, Connor and Simon from Virginia, and a son James and wife Phyllis and sons, Brian and William of California. He also had 4 step children and 13 step-grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time.
