Damon Silvers

Damon Silvers, age 58 of Burnsville, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of SW and Mildred Berry Silvers.

Surviving is his wife of 38 years, Rebekah Austin Silvers of Burnsville; two sons: Adam Silvers and wife Heather, Anthony Silvers and wife Laurel; brother, Darryl Silvers and wife Sherry; sister, Diane Gardner and husband Lonnie; four grandchildren: Kendrick, Everly, Ivy and Lily Silvers. 

Damon was the life of the party always making people laugh and barking like a dog. There was nothing he couldn’t do in construction, plumbing and electrical. He worked all the time, that is what he enjoyed. 

Memorial Services will be held Sunday, April 18th in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home at 4:30 p.m. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 3 p.m. until service time. Ceremony will be by Adam and Anthony Silvers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Gideons International at P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214.
