Coy Dean Honeycutt, Sr.

Coy Dean Honeycutt, Sr., age 82, of Henderson, passed away peacefully Monday, April 24, 2023 at Senior Citizens Home. A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Ora Lewis Honeycutt and Haskie Honeycutt Sr. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Roy and Mack Honeycutt; and one sister, Helen Robinson.

Left to cherish his loving memory is his son, Deane Honeycutt, Jr. of Henderson; brother, Rev. Haskie Honeycutt, Jr. and wife, Grace; sister, Frances Edwards of Burnsville and Carrie Garland of Asheville; three grandchildren, Joseph Clark Honeycutt, Caroline Hinton Honeycutt, and William John Grimsley; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home at 1 o’clock. The family will receive friends and loved ones thirty minutes prior to service time. Reverend Blair Harvey will officiate. Interment will follow in the Honeycutt Family Cemetery on McKinney Road in Burnsville.
