Charles Edward Carroll

Charles Edward Carroll, age 57 of Iron Station, NC, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, December 30th, 2021. A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Latt and Ethel Carroll. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jackie Hilton Carroll.

Surviving are his sons, Donnie Carroll and Charles Edward Carroll Jr.; daughter, Christie McGinnis and husband Billy; sisters: Faye Starrett and husband Gene, Sue Royer and husband Randy, and Janie Wolfe and husband Mark: niece, Tamara Mabry; granddaughter, Lana Carroll; grandsons: Aiden and Dalton McGinnis, and Charlie Carroll III; as well as many extended family members.

Services will be held Sunday, January 9th, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior to service time. Reverend Heather Hicks will officiate. Burial will follow in the Robinson Cemetery in Burnsville.
