Obituary
Bruce Wilson, age 83 of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Clarence and Vada Miller Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his baby brother and baby sister.
Bruce was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. It didn’t matter of he was sick or didn’t feel well, Bruce was the kind of man that went to church anyway. It was important to him. He loved working around his home and keeping everything looking nice and neat. He will truly be missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Virginia Wilson; son, Randy Fox; daughter, Sharon (Kenneth) Woody; brother, Dean (Betty) Wilson; sister, Betty Lunsford; niece, Melissa Crane; nephews: Chuck Lunsford, Jimmy Wilson, and Mike Wilson; grandchildren: Chase Fox, Caden Fox, Channing Fox, Candi Fox, Carleigh Burleson; and one special granddaughter, Brittni Woody, who lovingly called Bruce, “Papaw”.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Burnsville. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Doug Bare will be officiating.
