Obituary
Andrew Silvers, age 79, of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 8th, 2022. A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Tom Silvers and Zora Higgins Silvers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Avery Silvers, Bill Silvers, Isaac Silvers, Lonnie Silvers and Austin Silvers; and sisters: Rebecca King, Thelma Ledwell, Verlan Tipton, Gladys Hilemon, Evangeline Silvers, and Estell Willard.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Annie Silvers; sons: Edward Silvers (Sonya), and James Silvers; daughters: Frances Silvers and Myra McCann (William); and brother, Earl Silvers (Shirley); nine grandchildren: Evan Silvers, Darian Silvers, Marcus Silvers, Jacob McCann, Coy McCann, Dessie McCann, Bella McCann, Aiden McCann and Quinton Silvers; and a great grandchild, Ezra Silvers.
A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, April 11th, 2022, at 3 p.m. Reverends Brian Anthony and Jessie Smith will be officiating. The family will be accepting friends and loved ones for visitation an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Edward Silvers Cemetery in Burnsville, NC.
