Mrs. Alison Hale Curtis, age 65, of Burnsville, NC passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, October 23rd.
A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church of Umatilla (Umatilla, FL) on Saturday November 4th at 11:00am.
Alison was born on June 21, 1958, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She grew up in Lighthouse Point, FL, and attended Pompano Beach High School and the University of Florida (Go Gators) where she met her husband, Kendall.
Alison was an avid lover of the outdoors from a young age. As a child she traveled across the country in a camper with her parents and siblings. Her love for adventure and the outdoors carried on into adulthood; She loved spending time at the lake, water skiing, snow skiing, hiking in the mountains, gardening, and soaking in the beauty of God's creation, especially at her home in the Blue Ridge mountains.
Alison was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, Grandma, and follower of Christ. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Hale. Alison is survived by her husband, Kendall Curtis; her father, Hayden Hale; her daughter, Jamie Curtis; her daughter, Janelle Aman and husband CJ; her grandchildren, Lainey Aman and Presley Aman; her brother, Gary Hale and wife Joann; her sister, Valerie Hale.
