The Master came by our home on July 13th, 2021 at 6:00 AM to take his faithful servant and prayer warrior our blessed Godly Mother home to be with him. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Alene McPeters Kennedy was born on May 6, 1931 to Grasham and Edith McPeters of Yancey County. On May 2, 1952 she married Beatrice Lee (B.L.) Kennedy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son James Lee Kennedy, her brother, Samuel McPeters and her sisters, Irene Ennis, Frances Davis and Doris Frisby.
She leaves behind her daughters, Toni (Paul Sr.) Davis of Wallburg and Tember (Billy) Blevins of Farmer. She has four grandsons: James Michael Davis, Derrick (Brittany) Davis, Zachary (Bobbie) Blevins, Bo Blevins; one granddaughter, Faith Blevins; and one step–granddaughter, Angel Byerly. She has three great–granddaughters, two great–grandsons, one step–great granddaughter, and two step–grandsons. She is also survived by a sister–in–law, Jackie McPeters; and several nieces and nephews.
Mamma truly had a servant’s heart. She said several times that if she was younger she would be willing to go tell others that had not heard about Jesus about him. Because of that, we would like for donations be made to Northwood Baptist Church in Yadkinville, NC or Trulite Baptist Church High Point, NC for their Missions fund to help the spread of the Gospel in lieu of flowers.
“We love you Mamma and we will see you again soon.” – Toni Davis & Tember Blevins
