Ruby Ann Laws

Ruby Laws, 59, of Hunter Run Apartments, passed away at her home Friday, August 2, 2019.  A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Marie Fox Laws.  She was also preceded in death by a brother:  Benny Lee Laws.  Ruby was a member of Sullins Branch Baptist Church.  She was a special and unique person to all who came in contact with her.  Ruby loved giving to, and helping others.

Surviving are a son:  Jeremiah Hoilman of Morganton; sisters:  Mary Cook, Carrie Bennett of Burnsville and Verda Smith of Jonesborough, TN; brother:  David Laws of Jonesborough; a niece; 3 nephews; and a very special friend, Valentine, of Asheville, and also Betty, Lisa and Alice of Gastonia.

Funeral services will be held at 3PM Monday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Beaver Cemetery on Saw Mill Hollow Road.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
