Geneveve Johns Obituary

Geneveve Randolph Johns, 86, formerly of the Little Creek Community, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at Princeton Transitional in Johnson City, TN.  A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Linnie Jane Lewis Randolph, and the wife of Ruben Johns who passed away in 1999.  She was also preceded in death by a son:  Joey Dean Ledford; sisters:  Mae Tipton, Hattie Stevens, F. A. Cooper and Molly Gregory; and brothers:  Ray, Wade, Paul and Alvin Randolph, Jr.

Surviving are daughters:  Rose Maria Grindstaff  of Burnsville and Regina Mae Wilson and husband, Douglas, of Johnson City, TN; a sister:  Elizabeth Cooper and husband, Wade, of Marion; grandchildren:  James Pate, Jeremy Wilson, Missy Mitchell, Amanda Williams, and Jonathan, Katie and Matthew Grindstaff; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Saturday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.  Brothers Dayton Lewis, Tom Cooper, Lou Franklin and Steve Wilson will officiate.  Burial will be in Academy Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2PM, prior to the service at the funeral home.
