Dorothy was a lifelong member of Windom United Methodist Church, where she served in many capacities, including church treasurer for several years. She sang in church from the time she was a child and in the Windom and Newdale charge choirs for decades. Dorothy loved all the church’s programs, especially Bible study and Sunday School, and gladly cleaned and decorated the church as long as she was able. She loved to work and worked on a public job until family obligations required her to retire.
The thing her family remembers most about her is her dedication to her family.
Memorials may be made to Compassionate Care WNC, 856 Georges Fork Road, Burnsville, NC 28714.
