Doris Ann (Ogle) Norton

Doris Ann Norton, 76, of Burnsville, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital.  A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Lucy Arrowood Ogle.  She was also preceded in death by sisters:  Magdaline McLaughlin and Jean Wheeler; and, brothers:  Clarence Ogle and an infant brother.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years:  Perry Norton; children:  Gary Norton and wife, Sandi, and Penny Vance; grandchildren:  Somer Ray and husband, Jason, Abby Robinson and husband, Charlie, Kodi Norton, Tucker Norton and wife, Alesha, Matt Vance, Tanner Norton, Kenzie Frye and husband, Bradley, and Justice Norton; great grandchildren:  Eli, Camijo and Samuel Ray,  Kira Vance, Emma, Sadie, Maggie and Harper Robinson, and Tyson, Tripp and Taegan Norton; and, siblings:  Willoree Risley and Christine, Johnny, Donnie and Troy Ogle, all of Burnsville.

Funeral services will be held at 3PM Sunday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.  Revs. Charlie Robinson and Bradley Boone will officiate.  Burial will be in the Perry Norton Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
