Barbara Ann (Rice) Bolick

Barbara Rice Bolick, 73, of Burnsville, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at the home of her daughter, Becky Autrey, surrounded by her family.  A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Lucille Ball Rice, and the wife of Harold Bolick who passed away in 1989.  She was also preceded in death by sisters:  Wannell Gurley, Shirley Rice, Virginia Huskins and Pauline Peek; and a brother:  Vernice T. Rice.  Barbara was a member of Halls Chapel Baptist Church.  She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are 2 daughters:  Rebecca Autrey and husband, Charlie, and Sharon Hall McIntosh and husband, Danny; grandchildren:  Ethan Stafford and wife, Amanda, Patrick Stafford and wife, Sarah, Taylor Autrey, Evan Hall and wife, Lisa, and Caleb and Jordan McIntosh; great grandchildren:  Rebecca Elizabeth and Aiden Ryan Stafford, all of Burnsville; several nieces and nephews; and, a special friend:  Linda Ray Hicks, who was more like a sister .

Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.  Rev. Dwight Boone, Jr. will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery on Seven Mile Ridge Road.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and at other times at the home of Becky and Charlie Autrey at Celo.
